We could have never imagined a time when the remembrance service at St Margaret's church in Rainham High Street would not happen. Nor could we have foreseen that the military and civilians alike would be unable to gather at the war memorial just a stone's throw from our office. Then again so much that we never imagined has happened this year in the wake of Covid-19.
We could not let Remembrance Sunday go by without showing our respect. For this day we have removed all property pictures and replaced them with poppies, for anyone who wants to stop and look and pause a while.
